Take a look at your existing work work space. If you can do those extra things someplace else, appropriate the kitchen area for scrapbooking. If not, look at other rooms that might do.

If there is storage space in the dining room, you might consider swapping the stored things with your scrapbooking things. If the dining room is out of the question, contemplate whether the kitchen table activities can be changed to the dining room and the kitchen used for scrapbooking. Or take a look at the place where you collect your scrapbooking equipment. Is there a way to add a work space there? Don’t worry about furnishings or lights. Those questions can come afterward. Once you get your work space and storage space in the same room, you can begin adding good lighting, a comfortable chair, a bulletin board or whatever you envisioned in your day dreams of the perfect scrapbooking rooms.

If you dare to dream a bigger dream, you might repurpose a bedroom or old office into a scrapbooking room. Or how about that idle space in your basement. Better yet, how about a scrapbooking hut or cottage. What luxury! If you are tight on space, then take advantage of the space you do have - but if you have the room and money, then go big!
